Pam Bondi Defends DOJ’s Handling of Jeffrey Epstein Files Amid Criticism
On Wednesday, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi was at Congress to defend the handling of the investigation files of the late Jeffrey Epstein. Though millions have been released, Democrats and survivors call it a "sloppy," even "incomplete," process. Survivors report private photos were inadvertently released, while Democrats charge Bondi with shielding information about Epstein's wealthy associates to protect the administration's friends.
Meanwhile, Bondi has come under fire for her failed effort to prosecute Democratic legislators who created a video instructing soldiers to disobey illegal orders. A grand jury declined to indict in that matter. Republicans believe Bondi has returned the DOJ to its core mission. Democrats think she has turned the law into a tool to persecute political opponents while doing nothing to help the victims of sex crimes.
